 FUTURE PROSPECTS

Electronic Commerce Payments, Inc. (ECPay) aims to handle Php 25 Billion annually in electronic payments over the next three years. Of the annual projected target, 40% of total electronic payments will come from prepaid loading, bills collection and domestic remittance with the balance 60% from new services such as e-tickets, overseas bills payments and remittance, and licensing/franchising activities. Revenues from sales are projected to triple with the introduction of Ecpay’s new electronic products and services.

ECPay recently introduced an innovative EFT-POS Leasing Service as part of its strategy to create complimentary businesses within its current working framework.  ECPay retail clients are offered EFT POS terminals for credit card transactions in addition to the regular prepaid credit and bills payment service of ECPay. To date, ECPay exclusively provides 1000 EFT-POS terminals to Puregold’s thirty five (35) wholesale outlets.

ECPay will actively expand its Biller network to include regional and municipal utilities, schools, hospitals, real estate companies and government institutions. ECPay will tap the Filipino overseas workers to pay their bills directly from their host country and concurrently offer lower remittance services.

ECPay will aggressively 1) offer its payment infrastructure and services to other major retail chains in the country, 2) promote a comprehensive line-up of pre-paid credits and bills payment services, e-ticketing and other new e-services to potential franchisees/licensees, 3) incorporate checks, credit/debit card, and mobile e-cash as an alternative mode of payment into the ECPay system and, 4) expand to other markets in the Asia Pacific region.

MILESTONES

ECPay’s significant development is in the Bills Payment service. Launched in June 2005, the Bills Payment service represents 81% total transacted amount collected and represents 40% ECPay’s  gross revenues. The volume of  ECPay e-payment transactions are expected to triple as new billers are introduced in the system and new payment channels are incorporated.
