Davao LightDavao Light & Power Company has embarked on a new bills payment scheme that provides additional convenience for its customers through access to more payment venues all over the country.

The said payment scheme was formalized with the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement between Davao Light and Electronics Commerce Payments, Inc., (ECPay) for the implementation of a nationwide over-the-counter collection service for the former company. ECPay is represented by its President, Raymund Jude G. Aguilar in the MOA signing, while Davao Light Senior Vice President Arturo M. Milan signed  for the electric utility.

Davao Light Contract Signing

Under this Agreement ECPay shall render the Payment Collection Services as an independent contractor. The transaction slip issued by ECPay Payment Acceptance System is accepted by Davao Light as the subscriber’s proof of payment.

To avail of the ECPay scheme the customer must bring his/her electric bill that has a payment validation stub component for it to be accepted by the merchant cashier.

In Davao Light’s franchise area alone, ECPay has prominent partners like Cebuana Lhuillier with sufficient collection outlets where customers can choose to pay their electric bills.

Nationwide, ECPay’s partners number about 3,500 outlets. These will give Davao Light customers, or their relatives, more convenience in paying their electric bills even if they are in other parts of the country like Visayas and Luzon.

The accredited outlets are located at Davao City’s downtown streets of San Pedro, C. M. Recto, Lapu-lapu and Agdao.  Mall-based outlets are situated inside Gaisano Mall and Victoria Plaza.  In the northern part of the city, the outlets can be found in Buhangin, Bajada, Sasa and Panacan.  Meanwhile, two (2) outlets are in Panabo City particularly Quirino and Magsaysay streets.
